The existence of zoos is a central expression of anthropocentrism. Humans keep other species in captivity and display them to enrich the urban landscape and profit from it. They impose a human perspective on them, making them the others to be viewed and used at will.
From a de-anthropocentric perspective, I imagine a future in which animals are extremely marginalised and zoos become graveyards for animals.
