Grounded in the ecology of Beibei, Chongqing, Where Leaves Join Leaves, the Drifting Gate incorporates my observations and feelings about the local ecology since I was born. It describes the loose boundary between nature and the city in the context of climate change, and the flowing plant life within it. The work is an imagined pastoral poem, with flashback footage providing a very different way of viewing ecology.
